Malaysia Boleh

I was having breakkie with Noreen and Fische at Suria's Warong Foodcourt when we noticed that the foodcourt was filled with families on holiday. One family closeby was Singaporean, to which Noreen commented on why they would want to come to KLCC when they have a host of other shopping complexes in Singapore to choose from.

There are probably many reasons - convenience, the variety of activities available (Suria also hosts kid-friendly venues like Petrosains and huge playgrounds), who knows...

Soon after breakkie, Bad updated me on this wonderful piece of news, that Suria KLCC was named as the Prix d'Excellence winner in Retail by FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation.

More on the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence here.

I just hope that prices don't go up even further now that KLCC is an international 'venue of choice'.

Two words: Currency exchange.

Why buy in Singapore when you can get things at half the price and (for all those DVD fans) pirated movies?

Jikon: The family was Chinese. But I can see the appeal to the Arabs and other Muslim tourists...

Singaporeans flock to Malaysia to shop because its dirt cheap for them. I'm from JB and I know a Singaporean by the way they look. They don't even have to open their mouths to speak, they just have tat Singaporean look on their faces.

Hmmm ... we definitely need to work on that look.

pak adib where is this K-avenue ?

while malls, hotels, makan places, k-box and discos are mushrooming, i hope there are more libraries and hospitals as well.... i mean, those that are open to public and can be afforded by the public...
