Why do I have to go back to work? Why? Why? Why?
I had a nice long break which I am still trying hard to wean myself from. Time spent with the family, doing absolutely nothing at all, is always a good change from the pressure of having to do something.
Okay, so I did do something - I compiled short clips of my niece and nephew into two short 'films' entitled "Aeisyah the Movie" and "Adam the Movie". In between, I ate a lot, slept a lot, talked a lot and shot quick glances of stuff I was supposed to read for work. I also received a lot of advice about life and finances from my very financially prudent father.
Of course, being off the internet helped a lot at keeping me to my goal of doing nothing. Leaving my mobile in different rooms in the house helped too! I almost forgot how wonderful it is sometimes to just be disconnected.
The problem with these breaks is that once you're in it, you just can't imagine why you didn't want to do it in the first place.
2 days of work and then there's another break. As Aeisyah would say ... 'Aiyo!'
I can't do this again! It's torturous!
