I just discovered the wonders of redeeming your credit card points: approximately 46,000 on one, and 52,000 on another. The last time I looked, I had one decimal point less on each card and that was probably 6 years ago. Since then, online banking has become simpler and much more prevalent. Paying bills online accumulates more points. (Note my trail of logic when I want to prevent thoughts of how I accumulated so many points in the first place!)
There was once a time when all one could get from redeeming points are irons, pressure cookers and a one-night stay in some foreign country where you'd need to stay a week to make the trip worth it. After all this time, I finally realised that you can redeem (drumroll) vouchers!
I listed down my favourites: Aussino, Metrojaya, and the Melium Group and calculated the "ringgit value per point" and realised that redeeming the Melium Group RM100 vouchers was more worth it than redeeming points for a RM50 voucher at Padini, Aussino or Metrojaya. But then again, one could argue about how far I can stretch RM100 at Metrojaya vs Cole Haan. So I settled on several vouchers from Aussino and the Melium Group.
These vouchers will definitely be put to good use...

I wonder where the points came from. Adakah dari langit?

Posted by: ellina at 2004年04月07日 09:32I simply love redeeming points from those reward programmes... to get more points sometimes I purposely charge things to my credit card though I got the cash in hand. Heheh. Retail therapy.
