Wanted:

A good friend of mine is going on an excursion. Yes, he's doing a tomb raider thing. Hence, being the good friend that I am, I am not letting him set off without proper protection.

He's a bit of a sheltered urban dweller, not unlike myself, so I'm scouting around for a bodyguard for him.

The excursion will entail some dense jungle trekking, possibly the threat of tigers and poisonous shrubs, hostile natives and possibly, foreigners. There will be considerable temptations from the treasures that lies beneath the fern gardens which the would-be protector of my friend must resist, or else risk the wrath of a civilisation.

Therefore, I would like to seek ideas on what should be the credentials of the bodyguard.

Prelude to most important thing:
Make sure there's coverage in the area for said mobile phone. If not, learn Morse code. ASAP.
