So happy! Got new CD! Can't write in full sentences!
A couple of weeks ago, Ifwan and I went around KL during lunch to look for Telepopmusik's Genetic World album. It was all due to a contemplative night I had reminiscing of my childhood. It was that fruitless pursuit (I even begged the Tower Records people and Benny from Salem KLCC to put in an order for me...) that really showed me how MP3 technology has changed the music delivery industry.
Anyway, a very thoughtful friend went around doing some hunting of his own and finally found me a copy - in another country!
My take on Genetic World:
It gives the impression of a compilation album, with a mish mash of influences from Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead does Billie Holliday, although it really belongs in the Electronica genre. If you liked Breathe, over-exposed to the rest of the world by a Mitsubishi advertisement, you'll like 'Smile'.

Posted by: Nicholas at 2003年07月05日 08:58If you dont mind buying pirated stuff, there's a shop in Sg Wang Plaza selling "hard-to-find" dance, electronica, drum and bass, chillout stuff. Its located on level 4 near the IT centre, right at the end, to your right.
They got some reaaaaly wicked stuff. BUT i still couldnt find zero7 albums and singles.
Hey I saw Massive Attack once too! They're mad good and I love Portishead and Billie, so if there an album combining all this.... it sure sounds good...
