OK, I am exagerrating a bit. Aiz, Jikon and I are blogging from the Press Room. YES! We have taken over, as rightly pointed out by the organisers. But it's not our fault, dreams of wireless from the hotel were shot down as Aiz tested from a mere few feet from the access point.
Conference-wise, everyone is excited. Smiling faces are everywhere. It helps when Melaka is strewn with posters of the event. [pictures to follow]
We've gotten approval to pester the rapporteurs for material for the blog. Crossing my fingers that the conference blog will facilitate some discussion. One good thing, at least I know the NITC webmaster has already visited the site. Have drafted several PROMUDAns to update. Watch this space. Or better yet: this one.
Posted by Najah Nasseri at 2003年06月22日 16:33you sound very enthusiastic. post some interesting pictures of people and melaka. again all the best.
Posted by: ian at 2003年06月22日 16:44SOS Najah. Your office email is down.
Can you help me grab a copy of "The 2002 Internet Subscriber Study" that NITC will release at the start of InfoSoc by Pak Lah.

Posted by: Jeff Ooi at 2003年06月22日 17:48aye, and they'd better have that wifi problem fixed before i get there or i promise to dedicate a blog entry on it when i get back. the organization which charts the national IT agenda is unable to throw blanket wifi coverage in it's own events ? yeah, that'd be a good one. :)
Posted by: alphaque at 2003年06月22日 18:19Jeff, sorry to disappoint you, but the book is not free... Anyway, it IS available on discount for a mere RM60.
Dinesh, errr.. we have hopes that the 'cyber cafe' will be set up by tomorrow morning. However, broadband is available, from the press room.
