PPS got off to a great start! We've already got controversy and conflict. I am not averse to publicity of any kind, especially if it's by association rather than direct, but I do take offence at potshots taken at great people who have obviously done what they had done out of nothing more than passion to pursue their interests and share it sincerely with the world. Fine, if this resulted in some great blogs where people like me can learn something new for free, or optimise my news-reading for free, or get an alternative viewpoints on things for free, or get a laugh for free, I'm all for furthering the cause in any way. Hell, some of these guys even agreed to speak at InfoSoc even when it was to be held in an incomplete hall in Melaka. Now that the venue has changed to Equatorial Hotel, Melaka, these guys WILL be reaping the 'rewards' - as I am reminded of one lesson that is very true in life: 'rewards' are reaped by those who are sincere.

errr... i should rephrase that. i know i want to say something but couldn't find the right words to express them (a hint of why i didn't have my own blog).
reading your view on the issue, i couldn't agree more. to all of you committed bloggers, keep up your good work and keep people like me entertained and enlightened.
