When I considered the hiatus, I forgot why I wanted to blog. There are few people in this world that mean the world to me, and unfortunately, geography and time has always been an obstacle to our friendships. As I recall, I started blogging as a way to make myself available to these special people. This was a reason I forgot when things didn't go my way today (as Noreen quite rightly pointed out, I took my offline sulking online!). So I sulked, until I got a call from someone today - asking me to not shutdown their eyes and ears into my world.
One thing that a blog can do is provide a point of reference in place of the physical person. A place to go to and smile while reminiscing over fond memories, a place to go to and mourn for lost causes, or a place to go to for comfort when you're worried and don't know what is happening to a person you can't see.
I was once told by a dear friend that blogging can be a panacea for tired minds. So for the sake of my tired mind and the mesh network of pals I have online and offline, no more talk of hiatus - Hani continued with hers (the Sims is always a good picker upper of sorts!), and I should stop thinking about stopping... even for a second!
